Innovation AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE PHYSICAL, DIGITAL, AND THE EXPERIENTIAL
FOR BOTH Operating Companies and Real Estate

Paul B. Boardman founded Canvas in 2008 with the purpose of creating value through both technological and spatial innovation.

The real estate industry remains in the infancy stage of a technology‐driven transformation it will undergo over the next two decades. Emerging spatial and digital technologies will modify how leading companies, people and cities use the existing urban inventory of real estate assets.
These shifts will be efficiency based, amplified by the coming wave of ESG focused mandates (investment, operating, and regulatory) in distinct developments.

Canvas invests (R&D, Time, IP, Equity and Resources) at the convergence of real assets, design innovation, and technology to create the most relevant solutions for this coming future. It will do so by i) introducing technologies which have the potential to drive efficiency and do so within smaller carbon footprints, ii) developing a thematic pipeline of mixed‐use urban property projects, iii) creating a pool of differentiated investment assets, and iv) deploying select synergistic Op‐Co investments where warranted.

As an entrepreneur and innovator, Boardman has created transformative urban mixed use projects, logistics optimization technology, adaptive re-use developments, and consumer brands of consequence.
